Q: What is the period of existence for academic promotion?
A: Associate Professor & Professor Grade VK7: 3 years, Professor Grade VK6 & VK5: 4 years

Q: How can I check the status of my promotion application?
A: The status can be checked at UMPortal: E-Services >Services >Academic Promotion. If the application status is 'At the BSM level', you can send an email to kp_akademik@um.edu.my to get more information.

Q: How can I make a complaint if I encounter problems while applying online?
A: Complaints can be sent via https://helpdesk.um.edu.my. Please include a print screen of the problem from the online system to facilitate the review.
